Dispatcher

Location: Johnstown, PA

The Dispatcher position reports directly to the Dispatcher Team Supervisor at Intertech. Dispatchers work collaboratively with the Global Security Operations Center team located in Johnstown Pennsylvania to deliver the duties listed below. Dispatchers are measured on both internal and external customer satisfaction and their ability to work collaboratively with all departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computer aided dispatching software and computer terminals
  • Receive incoming fire, police or medical alarms
  • Quickly and accurately obtain information necessary to determine appropriate response to emergency situations in accordance with established procedures
  • Act as a main point of contact for emergency service agencies and existing or potential clients
  • Receive and respond to calls on administrative lines and/or route calls to appropriate company personnel
  • Monitor multiple video displays
  • Maintain accurate and up to date logs
  • Perform clerical functions such as typing, filing and report generation
